Work Environment\n

This full-time position allows for a flexible work setting with a remote work option, fostering an adaptable work-life balance while still providing direct support to patients. Our outpatient office, where you will primarily engage with clients, emphasizes a trauma-informed care approach and is equipped with the necessary tools to facilitate engaging therapy sessions. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to accurately evaluate patients’ trauma history, guiding the formulation of tailored treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans geared toward trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Guide patients as they navigate their trauma recovery by equipping them with effective coping strategies and resources to manage their mental health.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide thorough and integrated care, ensuring that all aspects of a patient's mental health are addressed.

• Offer crisis intervention support for individuals experiencing trauma-related emergencies to stabilize their condition promptly.

• Engage in patient education efforts, helping them and their families understand trauma responses and available coping mechanisms.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Experience with delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
