Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each patient's trauma history and mental health status, utilizing trauma-informed methodologies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, incorporating best practices and evidence-based techniques.

• Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to support clients in processing their experiences and developing healthy coping strategies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other therapists, to provide well-rounded care that addresses all aspects of a patient's mental health.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patients receive timely and effective assistance.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and community resources to aid in the healing process.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and comprehensive documentation in adherence to clinical guidelines and ethical standards.

• Engage actively in professional development opportunities and stay informed about the latest trends and research in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your empathetic approach will be essential in helping patients navigate their trauma recovery journeys and build resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited educational institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and experience with trauma-informed practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications for documentation and communication.

• Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a holistic approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
