Work Environment\n

This position is predominantly remote, allowing for flexibility and a comfortable work-life balance while maintaining easy access to collaborative efforts with team members. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on individual patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate the unique trauma histories of clients and determine the most effective treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individual treatment plans that are aimed at both trauma recovery and resilience-building, incorporating the specific needs and goals of each patient.

• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to promote healing and processing of traumatic experiences.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on helping patients develop coping strategies and tools for managing their emotions in daily life.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective assistance to clients in distress.

• Educate clients and their families about the impacts of trauma, effective coping mechanisms, and utilize available community resources.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with APA and HIPAA standards, ensuring that all record-keeping is thorough and up-to-date.

• Engage in professional development and participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to the collective knowledge on trauma-informed care within the organization.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices related to trauma therapy to continually enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals who have been affected by traumatic experiences, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Each client presents a unique set of challenges, and your expertise in trauma-informed care will be crucial in guiding them toward recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is necessary, demonstrating proficiency in treating trauma-related disorders.

• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment methodologies, and resilience-building strategies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude toward clients.

• A calm demeanor in high-stress situations, allowing for effective decision-making and support.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications relevant to clinical practice.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative multidisciplinary team setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
