Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history and needs, ensuring a tailored approach to care.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide patients through their healing process.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for patients to explore their emotions, develop coping mechanisms, and promote healing.

• Collaborate with medical professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for our clients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, maintaining a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations to assist those experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available resources to enhance their understanding and support systems.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.

• Engage in continuous professional development, including attending case consultations and team meetings, and staying informed on current research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• A strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, with specific experience in trauma-focused therapies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of post-licensure experience are required, any additional experience in specialized trauma therapy techniques or work with specific populations, such as children or veterans, will be considered an asset.
