Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma history, strengths, and areas for development.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, integrating a range of therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to support patients in processing trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and promoting holistic healing.

• Provide crisis intervention and empathetic support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients feel safe and heard during moments of distress.

• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrative approach to each patient’s care.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation consistent with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all patient records reflect accurate care progress.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through case consultations, team meetings, and staying current on the latest research in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals impacted by various forms of trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• An inherent understanding of trauma-related disorders and a strong foundation in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
