Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient’s unique trauma history and tailor treatment plans accordingly.

• Develop, implement, and continually revise personalized treatment plans, emphasizing trauma recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist patients in their healing processes.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that help clients process their trauma, foster coping strategies, and encourage emotional healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary professionals to create an integrated approach to care and treatment.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies in a professional and composed manner.

• Offer educational resources for patients and their families, highlighting trauma responses and effective coping methods.

• Ensure all patient documentation is thorough and compliant with ethical, legal, and organizational requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults and adolescents who have experienced various forms of trauma. These may include individuals struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) resulting from events such as violence, abuse, or significant personal losses. Your role is crucial in guiding these patients through evidence-supported interventions, enabling them to cultivate resilience and reclaim control over their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
