We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join the Total Recovery Mind Wellness Clinic team. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in delivering specialized mental health care to individuals impacted by trauma, contributing significantly to their healing and recovery process.

Work Environment\n

This position is predominantly remote, allowing you to provide outpatient mental health services while maintaining a work-life balance. You will collaborate closely with our dedicated team of mental health professionals—including psychiatrists and social workers—to deliver integrated care tailored to the unique needs of each client. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility necessary to accommodate patient appointments and emergent situations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and determine appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery, integrating evidence-based approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, learn crucial coping mechanisms, and achieve a sense of healing.

• Provide crisis intervention as necessary, assisting clients during trauma-related emergencies and ensuring they receive immediate support.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee a holistic approach to the patient's treatment, addressing both mental health and any co-occurring conditions.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment processes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in continuous professional development through participation in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing education focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, ensuring the highest standard of care for our clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with trauma survivors vulnerable to conditions such as PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients often face challenges related to their experiences, including trust issues, emotional regulation difficulties, and complex relationships with their environments. It’s your role to create a healing space that encourages personal growth and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A suitable master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing direct mental health therapy, with a strong focus on trauma-informed care.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach toward clients.

• Ability to effectively manage crisis situations with a calm and composed demeanor.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient patient management.

• A collaborative mind-set to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, we highly value prior experience specifically in trauma therapy settings. Familiarity with evidenced-based practices and innovative therapeutic techniques will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
