This full-time role, based in Elizabeth, New Jersey, allows for remote work while primarily serving patients through an outpatient office setting. As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating healing for individuals grappling with trauma-related disorders, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Our structured work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to address patient needs as they arise. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will encompass:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s history and current needs, laying a foundation for tailored treatment pathways.

• Developing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and emotional well-being.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Leading both individual therapy sessions and group therapy workshops aimed at trauma processing and the development of effective coping strategies.

• Building collaborative relationships with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

• Providing crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping tools, and community resources for enhanced recovery support.

• Maintaining meticulous documentation of patient progress and treatment compliance to adhere to ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including complex trauma and PTSD. These patients may come from diverse backgrounds, requiring an understanding of their unique circumstances and a compassionate, tailored approach to therapy. Qualifications\n

We expect our ideal candidate to possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, specifically in trauma-informed care.
\n
• A thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies with a track record of positive patient outcomes.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, paired with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and therapeutic software.

Compensation and Benefits\n
