Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' history and delineate appropriate treatment paths tailored to their unique needs.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, employing evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through trauma processing, coping strategy development, and emotional healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive treatment experience for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive timely assistance when needed.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma-related responses and the resources available to support their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clientele consists of individuals grappling with the effects of trauma, including veterans, survivors of abuse, and those struggling with community violence or sudden loss. You will work closely with clients to develop trusting therapeutic relationships that encourage openness and vulnerability, essential components of the healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities with a focus on resilience-building.

Compensation and Benefits\n
