Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ histories and determine the best course of treatment.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique challenges and goals of each client, focusing on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide effective care.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and enhance their overall mental well-being.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure client safety and stability.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available resources for additional support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.

• Participate in team consultations, regular meetings, and professional development activities to remain abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to childhood abuse, domestic violence, and traumatic loss. Our clients may present with complex trauma responses, PTSD, and dissociative disorders. You will play a vital role in assisting these individuals as they navigate their healing processes, offering personalized care and support in a compassionate setting.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care practices.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a trusting and non-judgmental environment for clients.

• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.

• Strong familiarity with EHR systems and the ability to utilize technology in a clinical setting effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health clinical setting, particularly focusing on trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
