Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments via telehealth, thoroughly evaluating each patient’s trauma history and identifying effective treatment pathways.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that address individual therapy goals focused on recovery from trauma and the development of resilience skills.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patient recovery.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions that empower patients to process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster their healing journeys.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated and holistic care, ensuring that all aspects of a patient’s well-being are addressed.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, guiding patients through moments of acute distress.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, incorporating resources and tools that promote understanding and coping.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Actively participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights and ideas that enhance our trauma-informed approach.

• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying informed about the latest research and therapeutic practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve providing care to adults struggling with the effects of trauma, including PTSD and complex trauma. You will engage with patients from diverse backgrounds, each with their unique stories and healing needs. Your role is crucial in creating a supportive therapeutic environment that encourages each patient to explore their challenges and seek growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State is required.
\n
• At least two years of post-licensure experience in the field of mental health counseling is highly preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment models and resilience-building methodologies.

• Demonstrable experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies, especially EMDR and TF-CBT.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in managing high-stress situations with composure and effectiveness.
\n
• Comfortable with technology, including proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and online communication platforms.

• A strong ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 90,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
