Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds, trauma histories, and mental health concerns effectively.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and equip patients with strategies to build resilience.

• Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address specific patient needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions where patients can process their trauma, share coping strategies, and foster personal growth in a supportive environment.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals as part of an integrated treatment team to provide comprehensive care that meets the multifaceted needs of patients.

• Respond to crisis situations with immediate intervention, ensuring safety and support for clients facing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms while providing information about available community resources to aid in recovery.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions in alignment with legal, ethical, and organizational best practices.

• Participate in regular case consultations and professional development activities that emphasize trauma-informed care methodologies and continuous learning.

• Stay informed about cutting-edge research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance your clinical effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will encompass individuals affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patients often include survivors of significant life events, such as abuse, accidents, and other crisis situations, all of whom rely on compassionate and effective counseling to facilitate their healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon is essential for practice.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, providing a solid foundation for working with trauma-impacted clients.

• Deep knowledge of trauma-related disorders and expertise in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and empathy in engagements with patients.

• The ability to maintain poise in high-stress situations, a critical attribute for crisis intervention.

• Proficiency in EHR systems and various computer applications used for documenting and reviewing patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value dedication and the willingness to grow within the field. Experience in trauma therapy, including the use of EMDR and TF-CBT methodologies, will give you an advantage in your application as will familiarity with community resources and multidisciplinary team environments.

Compensation and Benefits\n
