Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma history and mental health status, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that specifically address each patient’s trauma recovery goals and overall mental wellness.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process traumatic experiences, acquire effective coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide integrated, patient-centered care and support.
\n
• Assist with crisis intervention for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and appropriate support is provided.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to encourage informed care.
\n
• Ensure meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, e.g., discussing complex cases with team members to refine treatment approaches.
\n
• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance clinical practices and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with patients who have experienced complex trauma and related disorders. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the psychological impact of trauma and be committed to offering compassionate, patient-centric care that promotes healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

• Proven track record with at least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly with trauma-focused treatment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions, with a preference for candidates trained in EMDR and TF-CBT.

• Background working within community health clinics or similar settings that advocate for vulnerable populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
