Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, providing mental health counseling services from the comfort of your home while also engaging with clients through our outpatient facility in Macon as necessary. Our team operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs. We encourage a collaborative atmosphere, where team consultation and support are commonplace.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' histories and tailor specialized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to guide clients through their recovery.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for clients to process their experiences and develop coping strategies.

• Work closely in a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive support.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, participating in case consultations, team meetings, and staying informed on the latest research in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced a range of traumatic events, including but not limited to abuse, neglect, accidents, and loss. The clients at Bright Minds often come from diverse backgrounds and possess unique needs, making it crucial for our counselors to employ a flexible, individualized approach to therapy that respects cultural sensitivities and personal histories.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred. Candidates should have demonstrable proficiency in trauma-focused therapies and a solid understanding of trauma-related disorders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in high-stress situations and maintain professionalism under pressure. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is also desirable.

The role offers an attractive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, reflecting experience and qualifications.
