Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and document assessments accurately to identify client needs.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Maintain consistent communication with referring professionals, including following up with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for clients who may require hospitalization.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges, ensuring client empowerment during their healing journey.

• Provide support to family members and caregivers, equipping them with tools to manage their loved ones' mental health challenges effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• Successful completion and passing scores of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor in clinical settings.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms, is an advantage.

• Knowledge of physical health conditions, emotional health challenges, and addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal abilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Forest View Psychotherapy Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a sign-on bonus.
