Work Environment\n

This remote position allows you the flexibility to work from home while utilizing our advanced electronic health record (EHR) system. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and interviews, documenting clients' histories and crafting individualized treatment plans.

• Evaluate clients' mental and emotional health, analyzing various factors that may impact their wellbeing.

• Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups in both individual and group therapy settings.

• Facilitate effective therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment that encourages client participation and progress.

• Monitor treatment outcomes and re-evaluate strategies as necessary, tracking progress throughout the recovery process.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff, to formulate holistic and comprehensive intervention plans.

• Provide follow-up support for clients transitioning from inpatient care to outpatient therapy, ensuring continuity of care.

• Assist families and caregivers in understanding behavioral health challenges, coaching them on techniques to support their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range from children to adults, each facing unique mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will tailor your therapeutic approach to fit the individual needs of your clients, whether they require one-on-one sessions or group interventions. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and relatable manner.

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and a sincere, empathetic approach to client care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in mental health counseling, particularly in an outpatient setting.

• Familiarity with treatment for physical health conditions or substance use disorders is a plus.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, for documentation and case management.

• In-depth knowledge of therapeutic interventions consistent with the standards set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
