Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and establish appropriate therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual's needs.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, addressing both symptoms and systemic factors contributing to their distress.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.

• Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, build coping strategies, and promote overall emotional health.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated, holistic care for all patients.

• Offer crisis intervention and support, particularly in situations involving trauma-related emergencies or acute distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and relevant community resources, fostering a deeper understanding of their experiences.

• Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential documentation, ensuring compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in team meetings to promote a collaborative approach within our trauma-informed care model.

• Continuously update your knowledge of best practices and recent research related to trauma therapy and its applications.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adult trauma survivors experiencing a range of mental health challenges. These patients often include individuals dealing with severe PTSD, complex trauma histories, and associated mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression. Your role will encompass not only direct therapeutic interventions but also fostering a supportive and understanding atmosphere that empowers patients in their recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia is mandatory.
