Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' backgrounds and identify effective treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating therapeutic interventions that help clients process their trauma and foster resilience.

• Maintain collaborative communications with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, integrated approach to patient care.

• Deliver crisis intervention and immediate support during emergencies related to trauma, thus ensuring safety and stabilization of patients.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, in addition to providing resources for ongoing care.

• Keep accurate documentation compliant with ethical standards and legal requirements, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document all aspects of care.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development, aiming to improve competencies in trauma-informed practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance service quality and patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals facing the effects of trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. Your role is crucial in enabling these patients to regain a sense of control and stability in their lives by offering tools and therapeutic techniques tailored to their unique experiences.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.

• Experience: At least two years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating sound practice in trauma therapy and mental health counseling.

• Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities, as well as resilience-building strategies.

• Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a supportive, empathetic approach to patient interactions.

• Technology Proficiency: Ability to proficiently use electronic health record systems and navigate related software for documentation purposes.

• Team Collaboration: A demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, bringing forth collaboration and mutual respect across therapeutic roles.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, set between $80,000 and $104,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
