Work Environment\n

As a remote position, this role offers the flexibility to balance personal and professional responsibilities while remaining connected to a supportive team. Our outpatient office in Macon serves as a hub for collaborative care, where therapists can access resources and engage in meaningful dialogues about treatment strategies. Expect to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility needed to accommodate patient schedules and needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patient histories and develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

• Implement and monitor personalized treatment strategies aimed at promoting trauma recovery and resilience, employing evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients navigate their trauma stories and cultivate effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other health professionals, to ensure cohesive care for each patient undergoing treatment.

• Provide crisis intervention when needed, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and the available resources to help them on their recovery journey.

• Keep meticulous records and documentation that comply with legal requirements and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings focused on developing and forwarding trauma-informed care approaches.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, integrating this knowledge into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients navigating the challenges of trauma. This includes individuals who have experienced distressing events leading to PTSD, complex trauma, or dissociative disorders. Your role in their therapeutic journey is critical in helping them reconcile their experiences and foster greater emotional resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and active licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working in mental health counseling, particularly with trauma-focused therapeutic techniques.

• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed care methodologies.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that reflect a compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.

• Flexibility and resilience under pressure, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications relevant to therapy practice.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team dynamic.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
