Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and documentation, ensuring accuracy from initial consultation through to treatment completion.

• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored for individual clients, couples, families, and groups, to address specific mental, behavioral, and emotional health needs.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
\n
• Monitor and assess client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to plans and interventions as needed.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and social workers, to integrate care and ensure comprehensive treatment.

• Educate and support families and primary caregivers in their roles, helping them navigate the challenges associated with mental health concerns.
\n
• Proactively identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, taking a preventative approach to mental health management.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base includes a diverse population of individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. As a counselor at Grand Garden, you will have the opportunity to work with clients from various backgrounds and age groups, allowing for a rich and fulfilling professional experience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor with a strong clinical background.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Strong understanding of the interplay between physical and mental health, as well as experience dealing with addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with strong interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in crisis intervention and management, with the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.

• Previous work in a community health setting or comparable environment.
\n
• Knowledgeable about the implications and effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals for mental health conditions.

• Understanding of various therapeutic modalities and their applications in different client scenarios.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
