Key Responsibilities\n

The successful candidate will have a slew of responsibilities aimed at providing exceptional patient care:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to gain insights into clients' trauma histories, establishing a foundation for their treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies that focus on trauma recovery, using specific therapeutic methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at empowering clients to process their traumas, develop coping mechanisms, and begin the healing journey.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to secure comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, equipping clients with immediate support and strategies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies, promoting understanding and resilience within their support networks.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation following legal, ethical, and organizational standards within electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in case consultations, team discussions, and professional development sessions focused on the latest trauma-informed practices.

• Stay current with research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is individuals who have experienced trauma in various forms. This includes adult and adolescent clients dealing with PTSD, sexual assault survivors, those with complex trauma histories, and individuals exhibiting dissociative disorder symptoms. The therapist will function as an integral part of their healing process, providing compassionate and knowledgeable support.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

Compensation and Benefits\n
