Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history, identifying appropriate and effective treatment approaches tailored to their needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery and resilience, emphasizing the establishment of coping strategies and the promotion of personal growth.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide effective treatment.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process traumatic experiences, nurture coping mechanisms, and encourage healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated care for all patients, addressing both their mental and physical health needs.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring they receive the necessary support and guidance.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on individuals grappling with the effects of trauma, including survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other distressing life events. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting is preferred.
\n
• Extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and an understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations while effectively managing client needs.

• Proficient in EHR systems and comfortable with technology used in remote therapy.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 104,000.
