Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history, strengths, and treatment needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.

• Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster personal healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to guarantee an integrated approach to care that addresses all aspects of a patient's wellbeing.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in emergency trauma situations, ensuring their immediate safety and mental health stability.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources, enhancing their understanding of treatment dynamics.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves a diverse population of individuals suffering from trauma-related disorders. You will work closely with patients who may have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to interpersonal violence, childhood neglect, and other distressing life events. Building trust and rapport with these individuals is vital as it forms the basis for effective therapy and long-term healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Pennsylvania.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience working in mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-informed care.

• A strong foundation in the knowledge of trauma-related disorders and experience with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient interactions.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer software applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience providing trauma-focused therapies, especially EMDR and TF-CBT, is highly preferred. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques is also beneficial. Compensation and Benefits\n
