Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at fostering recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing traumatic experiences and developing healthy coping strategies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for all patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during high-risk situations involving trauma.
\n
• Inform and educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in weekly case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development workshops focusing on trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay updated on innovative research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance our clinical offerings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clientele of Avella Behavioral Health Center includes individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, accidents, or natural disasters. Many require targeted support for conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our therapeutic approach focuses on individual strengths and resilience, allowing our clients to navigate their recovery journeys effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on trauma is preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment protocols.
\n
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapy and interventions that drive patient progress.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills characterized by empathy and a non-judgmental approach.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain composure in high-stress environments and provide calm, effective support.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various digital platforms.

• A collaborative spirit, ready to work within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, additional experience in specialized therapies such as EMDR or TF-CBT, as well as familiarity with group therapy dynamics, is highly valued. Previous experience in community health settings or outpatient clinics is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
