Family Matters Care Consultants is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team as we provide specialized support to individuals affected by trauma. Work Environment\n

This role is designed for flexibility, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while engaging with clients through our telehealth services. Our remote setting empowers our therapists to maintain a work-life balance while delivering crucial mental health support.

Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs, you will find that our conducive work culture values both professional and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and identify tailored treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building, engaging clients in their recovery journey.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
\n
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in processing trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and enhancing emotional regulation.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated care for our patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stabilization.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and connect them with available resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation to comply with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
\n
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care methodologies.
\n
• Stay current with the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will be on individuals grappling with the long-term effects of trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will play a pivotal role in their healing journey, addressing their unique struggles and helping them regain control over their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in the field of mental health counseling.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, displaying empathy and a non-judgmental attitude.
\n
• Ability to exhibit calmness and composure in high-stress scenarios.
\n
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
\n
• Collaborative mindset conducive to working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

It is preferred that candidates have strong backgrounds in trauma-informed care and are experienced in facilitating group therapy sessions. Experience with specific therapeutic approaches such as EMDR and TF-CBT is highly desirable, as these skills will directly impact the effectiveness of patient treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
