Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth trauma-informed assessments to identify clients' trauma histories and tailor treatment approaches accordingly.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and resilience-building.

• Utilize evidence-based therapy modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that focus on processing trauma, enhancing coping skills, and promoting emotional healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during traumatic incidents, ensuring immediate and effective responses to client needs.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources for ongoing support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve primarily include individuals who have experienced significant trauma, manifesting as PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work with diverse demographics, including adults, adolescents, and families, each presenting unique challenges and healing needs. Your role is pivotal in guiding these clients towards recovery, fostering a safe space for them to express their thoughts and emotions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R (LCSW-R) in New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 90,000 and 110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and expertise.
