Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history, psychological needs, and treatment suitability.

• Develop tailored treatment plans centered on trauma recovery and resilience building, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions employing therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate supportive discussions in group therapy settings, allowing patients to share experiences, learn from one another, and develop essential coping mechanisms.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and healthcare providers to provide comprehensive patient care, effectively communicating treatment progress and adjustments.

• Provide crisis intervention and support in high-stress situations, ensuring that patients receive immediate assistance during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to empower them on their recovery path.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records aligned with legal and ethical requirements, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of your work will be with individuals coping with past trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, and related mental health disorders. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Registered (LCSW-R) in New York.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and demonstrate empathy while maintaining professionalism.

Compensation and Benefits\n
