Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments that explore patients' histories and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that promote recovery and resilience, working collaboratively with clients to set achievable therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to provide effective treatment.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that support clients in processing their trauma, employing coping strategies and fostering a sense of community.

• Engage in multi-disciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive care.

• Administer crisis intervention techniques to support clients during periods of acute distress.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping strategies, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and resources necessary for their recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and care plans, adhering to both legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele consists predominantly of individuals who have experienced significant trauma or adversity, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and those with complex trauma histories. We also focus on clients suffering from PTSD and dissociative disorders. This specialized demographic requires a therapist who is not only knowledgeable about trauma-related disorders but also capable of creating a secure space where healing can occur.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and resilience-building methodologies.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to connect empathetically with clients.

• Proficiency in utilizing various EHR systems and digital platforms relevant for telehealth counseling.

• Demonstrated expertise in providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, specifically working with trauma-affected populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
