Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to analyze patients’ trauma histories and discern effective treatment modalities.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at healing trauma, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, ensuring all aspects of a patient’s health are addressed.

• Provide crisis intervention for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating composed support during critical moments.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources, fostering empowerment and understanding.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals coping with various trauma-related conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our diverse client population ranges from children to adults, each with unique stories and needs. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Possession of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and competency in trauma-informed treatment approaches.
