In this pivotal role, you will provide specialized mental health therapy to individuals who have experienced trauma, working primarily in a remote outpatient setting.

Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while being part of an engaged and collaborative healthcare team. Our outpatient office setting allows therapists to connect with patients in a supportive manner, ensuring their comfort while addressing sensitive issues. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' mental health histories and develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate recovery.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process their trauma, build resilience, and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other allied health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, discussing progress and adjustments to treatment plans.

• Provide crisis intervention during emergency situations, assessing immediate needs and ensuring that patients receive adequate support.

• Educate patients and their families about the impact of trauma, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to foster empowerment and informed decision-making.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient records, compliance with legal and ethical standards in all interactions.

• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in team meetings, contributing to a shared knowledge base around trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research, trends, and best practices related to trauma therapy to continuously improve patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with diverse populations who have experienced various forms of trauma. This includes, but is not limited to, survivors of abuse, neglect, and complex trauma scenarios. Your role is crucial in helping these individuals navigate their healing journey, promoting resilience, and supporting their mental health improvement through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in trauma-focused therapy.

• Proven ability to deliver trauma-focused therapeutic interventions with empathy and professionalism.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a variety of healthcare settings.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and effective documentation practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
