Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility and convenience of remote work, allowing you to provide therapy from a setting that best suits your lifestyle. Telehealth platforms enable seamless communication with clients, ensuring they receive continuous care regardless of geographical barriers. Working Monday to Friday, with the primary hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility may be required to accommodate patient needs, at times allowing evening or weekend sessions to ensure accessibility.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each client's history and formulate appropriate treatment methods.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans, emphasizing strategies for trauma recovery, resilience building, and personal growth.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), implemented during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Guide patients in processing trauma experiences while providing tools to develop coping mechanisms and promote emotional healing.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure holistic and integrated care for all patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention services during emergencies, ensuring patient safety and emotional stabilization.

• Educate both patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation that meets legal and ethical guidelines while managing electronic health records efficiently.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on trauma survivors who are navigating the complexities of PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. These individuals often face significant challenges in their day-to-day lives and require sensitive, informed approaches to mental health care. As a therapist, you will work collaboratively with patients to help them reclaim their narratives and build pathways toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.

• A valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York is essential to practice.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities is necessary.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years post-licensure experience is preferred, strong candidates may possess experience in specialized trauma therapy settings or have received training in new and innovative therapeutic approaches.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation range for this position is between USD 90,000 and 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
