Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and sensitive assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, assessing severity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborate with clients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans that focus on specific needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate clients’ progress.

• Deliver educational resources and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, effective coping strategies, and available treatment options.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting treatment plans and therapeutic approaches as necessary to maximize effectiveness.

• Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health treatment.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in team meetings to exchange insights and improve treatment approaches collaboratively.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs while promoting the destigmatization of mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve a diverse clientele experiencing various mood disorders, including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. These conditions can significantly affect individuals' daily lives, and your role will be crucial in helping them navigate their mental health journeys. By tailoring interventions to their unique experiences, you will help empower clients to find coping strategies, reclaim their lives, and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Current state licensure as LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or Social Work is required.

• Solid understanding of California laws and professional guidelines governing mental health practice.

• Current TB test (within the last six months) and a successful background check through the FBI and DOJ are mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience is required.

• Experience working with clients who have learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, or social/emotional disorders is preferred.

• A commitment to ongoing professional development, particularly in addiction counseling and the treatment of mood disorders, is valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
