Work Environment\n

As a Remote mental health counselor, you will work primarily from home while still being an integral part of our vibrant team. Our outpatient facility in Irvine provides a collaborative workspace that encourages teamwork, creativity, and efficient communication. Although some work can be conducted remotely, you may engage in face-to-face interactions with colleagues for case consultations and team meetings as needed. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with added flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the specific needs of patients and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting recovery and resilience.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and other modalities, tailored to the unique challenges faced by patients.

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and support sessions that empower individuals and families while addressing common mental health concerns through shared experiences.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, sharing insights and strategies to enhance treatment efficacy.

• Provide crisis intervention services, assisting patients during acute mental health episodes, guiding them through emotional distress and developing immediate coping mechanisms.

• Educate patients about their mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and available community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in case consultations, workshops, and training sessions to stay current with industry best practices.

• Keep abreast of the latest research surrounding mental health therapies and integrate new findings into therapeutic practices.

Qualifications\n

Preferred Experience\n

Summit Mind offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
