Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and empathetic assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, gathering relevant history and information.

• Collaborate with clients to develop tailored treatment plans reflecting their specific needs, goals, and preferences, ensuring active participation in their care.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in managing and overcoming mood disorders.

• Educate and provide support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders and treatment options, enhancing their understanding and engagement in the healing process.

• Monitor clients' progress throughout the treatment journey, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs and responding to feedback.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care, sharing insights and strategies for enhancing treatment outcomes.

• Stay updated on the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to continuously improve your therapeutic approach and the quality of care provided.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential records of client assessments, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, and contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere focused on shared best practices.

• Advocate for clients by promoting awareness and de-stigmatization of mood disorders, ensuring they receive the support and resources they need.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population includes adolescents and adults experiencing mood-related issues, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. You will work closely with individuals at various stages of their mental health journey, offering compassionate support tailored to their unique circumstances and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in the state of California.

• Profound expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, with a focus on treating mood disorders.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology practices and collaboration with psychiatrists to support clients' medications when necessary.

• A proven record of successfully delivering positive outcomes in mood disorder treatments, showcasing both skill and empathy in patient interactions.

• Exceptional communication skills, fostering rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
