This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to conduct sessions outside of the traditional office environment while still engaging closely with our outpatient team. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.

• Collaboratively develop customized treatment plans addressing individual client goals, utilizing evidence-based practices to inform decision-making.

• Implement therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to treat clients effectively.

• Facilitate client education by providing insightful information about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques.

• Monitor client progress and assess treatment efficacy, adjusting plans based on ongoing evaluations.

• Maintain seamless collaboration with psychiatrists and other health care professionals, ensuring an integrated approach to the client's mental health care.

• Keep abreast of the latest developments in mood disorder treatments and research to enhance therapeutic efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients who are facing challenges related to mood disorders. This includes individuals coping with symptoms of depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorders, often stemming from various life experiences including trauma, loss, or stressors unique to the Macon area. Your role will involve understanding the diverse backgrounds of clients, facilitating therapy that is both culturally sensitive and personalized, thus fostering trust and enhancing treatment outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• Demonstrable knowledge and practicing experience in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, with an emphasis on therapeutic success for mood disorders.
