Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, identifying severity, frequency, and duration to inform treatment direction.

• Engage collaboratively with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and goals, incorporating their preferences for therapeutic approaches.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring methods to enhance effectiveness for each client.

• Provide education and emotional support to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and practical self-care strategies to improve overall mental well-being.

• Monitor client progress consistently, employing a data-driven approach to make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, ensuring alignment with desired outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our practice serves a broad demographic, ensuring that all individuals receive culturally competent care tailored to their specific backgrounds and life experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Proven expertise in implementing evidence-based treatment modalities, such as CBT and DBT.

• Sound understanding of psychopharmacology, coupled with the ability to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists to optimize treatment outcomes.

• Demonstrated ability to achieve successful therapeutic outcomes in clients dealing with mood disorders.
