Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to ascertain the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in students.

• Collaborate with the clients, educators, and families to develop personalized treatment plans that align with the specific goals and needs of each student.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, self-care strategies, and available treatment options to support recovery.

• Continuously monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans based on therapeutic outcomes and client feedback.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychologists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

• Stay current with the latest research in mental health, actively participating in professional development to enhance clinical practices.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and client interactions in accordance with ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily focus on working with school-aged children and adolescents who struggle with mood-related disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
