Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexible work-life balance while also engaging in occasional in-person collaboration at our outpatient office in Sacramento. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional rotational evening and weekend shifts to better accommodate our clients' needs. You'll work within a cohesive team structure that emphasizes effective communication and shared clinical goals.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, including severity, frequency, and duration.

• Develop individualized treatment plans collaboratively with clients, addressing their specific goals, needs, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients manage their mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and strategies for self-care and coping.

• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to maximize effectiveness.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals within the practice to ensure comprehensive care and support.

• Stay informed about recent developments and research in mood disorder treatment to continually refine and enhance therapy approaches.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment strategies in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and attend team meetings to discuss complex cases and share knowledge on best practices.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs within the community, promoting awareness and de-stigmatization of mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals facing various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression and anxiety. Our diverse clientele ranges from adolescents to adults, each presenting unique challenges and perspectives. Your role will be crucial in helping clients navigate their mental health obstacles, providing them with the tools they need to achieve stability and well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, with a demonstrated focus on mood disorders.

• Proficiency in contemporary evidence-based therapeutic modalities specific to mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.

• Sound knowledge of psychopharmacology, with the ability to liaise effectively with psychiatrist colleagues.

• Proven record of achieving successful treatment outcomes with clients experiencing mood disorders.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport and trust with clients from varied backgrounds.

• Experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly with diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, with the potential for performance-based bonuses.
