Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will be both fulfilling and impactful. Specific tasks include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments for students, evaluating their unique circumstances and developing tailored interventions.

• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that emphasize emotional well-being, behavioral improvement, and academic integration.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to conditions such as ASD, ADHD, and trauma.
\n
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions that encourage emotional development, coping strategies, and social skills enhancement.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including educators and therapists, to provide comprehensive care and support for our student population.

• Offering crisis intervention services during emergencies, ensuring immediate support for students in need.
\n
• Providing psychoeducation to both students and their families, bridging gaps in understanding surrounding mental health issues.

• Documenting all interactions and treatment plans accurately, adhering to the highest legal and ethical standards in mental health care.

• Participating actively in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on students facing diverse mental health challenges within the educational setting. By providing personalized care, you will help students with special needs navigate academic pressures, improve their emotional regulation, and foster resilience. This role allows you to play a pivotal part in shaping the mental health landscape for those who may otherwise struggle silently.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master's degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and trauma-informed treatment practices.
\n
• Proficiency in conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, and formulating effective treatment strategies.

• Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions is vital.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students, families, and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, specific qualities that would make an ideal candidate include:

Compensation and Benefits\n
