Key Responsibilities\n

• Client Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of individuals presenting with mood disorders. This involves reviewing their medical histories, current emotional states, and personal circumstances to formulate a comprehensive understanding of their needs.

• Diagnosis: Utilize the DSM-5 and other recognized diagnostic manuals to accurately diagnose clients, ensuring that all assessments are grounded in clinical best practices.

• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to design customized treatment plans that leverage evidence-based interventions and consider their unique aspirations, challenges, and backgrounds.

• Psychotherapy: Implement various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, to provide clients with tools and strategies to manage their symptoms effectively.

• Medication Management Collaboration: Work alongside our supervising psychiatrist to develop integrated care plans, addressing whether clients may benefit from combined psychotherapy and medication support.

• Crisis Intervention: Deliver prompt crisis intervention support for clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies related to their mood disorders, employing robust de-escalation techniques and safety planning.

• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain precise documentation of client interactions and treatment progress, adhering to strict ethical standards and legal guidelines to safeguard client confidentiality and privacy.

• Team Collaboration: Engage with a diverse team of professionals, including other mental health counselors, social workers, and support staff, to ensure a unified approach to client care.

Qualifications\n

• Licensure: An active and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Professional Experience: A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling, with a focus on mood disorders strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The role offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 105,000 annually, with additional bonuses based on performance.
