This remote position allows you to perform your vital work from a home-based office setting while being an integral part of our outpatient team in Merced, California. You will benefit from the flexibility of working hours, with a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, that enables a well-rounded work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues, identifying the presence of co-occurring disorders to inform treatment strategies.

• Collaborate closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that meld evidence-based interventions addressing both mental health and substance use needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focusing on the development of crucial coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and effective emotional regulation skills.

• Engage in regular coordination of care with the multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and nursing staff, to ensure integrated treatment pathways.

• Monitor client substance use through regular assessments and employ motivational interviewing techniques, fostering a supportive environment for clients during their recovery journey.

• Provide educational resources and support to clients and their families on the interconnectedness of mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the significance of adherence to treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals diagnosed with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, utilizing your expertise to address their unique challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Documented proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A deep understanding of the complex relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, equipped to deliver compassionate care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
