Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of older adults.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider cognitive, physical, and social factors influencing mental health.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including both individual and family counseling, to manage geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies for elderly patients.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and available treatment options, fostering a deeper understanding of their situations.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to improve care practices and share insights.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is to serve the geriatric population, addressing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, adjustment challenges, and dementia-related disorders. You will engage with elderly patients in various stages of life, catering to their specific psychological needs and working closely with families to enable a supportive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Strong foundational knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and effective evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop rapport with elderly clients and their families.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other digital tools to facilitate efficient documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
