Book Making (Production, Managing Editorial, Production Editorial) These departments are responsible for the in-house editorial, pre‑press and manufacturing processes of turning manuscripts into bound books after acquisition all within the desired timeframe and budget. Some responsibilities include copyediting and proofreading various materials including TI sheets, reader guides, cover copy and marketing materials, learning how to check changes, assisting with freelancer communication and attending book scheduling meetings. Interns are exposed to the publishing process and our business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series! Summer interns work for 28 hours per week and are paid $21/hour. What you study does not matter! We are looking for your desire to work with books, your drive to learn and your curiosity for the publishing industry. The position is remote and based in the United States for candidates who can work primarily on Eastern Time. The salary for this position is $21/hour.
