Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Junior Accountant for a full-time, onsite role located near Brooklyn, NY.
Compensation for this role goes up to $65,000.
Our client is a fast-growing consumer services company specializing in concerts, sports, and live entertainment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor credit card accounts (daily balance updates, funding reloads, charge/payment tracking)
- Record invoices and process payments in QuickBooks Online
- Process payments through Melio, PayPal, and Wise (upon approval)
- Reconcile banking statements weekly
- Assist with additional ad hoc tasks to support the Chief Accountant
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- Experience with QuickBooks Online required
- Familiarity with Melio, PayPal, or Wise is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a small business setting
