Junior Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a growing professional services organization in New York City to hire a Junior Staff Accountant. This is an open-ended contract opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent position. We are seeking a candidate with experience in cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. Responsibilities:

• Manage daily cash activity, banking transactions, and wire transfers
  
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, cash application, and account reconciliations
  
• Prepare journal entries, maintain general ledger activity, and assist with month-end close
  
• Perform bank reconciliations and support financial reporting and analysis
  
• Review expense reports, assist with audits, and resolve accounting-related inquiries
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  
• 2+ years of accounting experience with exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
  
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups
  
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Dynamics 365, or similar platforms
  
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  

Schedule:

• 4 days per week in office, 1 day remote
  
• Typical schedule is 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed
  

$27-35/hr

Pay Details: $27.00 to $35.00 per hour
