Payroll Technician
Temporary Staffing Professionals
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Technician to support a great organization in Laguna Beach. This role will be responsible for supporting day‑to‑day payroll operations, including reviewing and auditing payroll changes, maintaining accurate payroll records, reconciling payroll reports, and assisting with retirement‑related reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong payroll and accounting experience who is detail‑oriented and comfortable working in a deadline‑driven environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and process payroll accurately and within established deadlines. Review and audit payroll changes, deductions, additions, and employee information. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Reconcile payroll reports and research and resolve discrepancies. Assist with reporting and payroll‑related reconciliations. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and payroll‑related financial reports. Provide additional accounting support, including AP/AR and general ledger activities, as needed. Assist with audits and other finance‑related projects. Qualifications Previous payroll processing or payroll accounting experience. Bachelors Degree preferred. Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills. Experience with payroll/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. Public‑sector payroll experience is a plus. Ability to handle confidential information and meet strict deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
