Contract Specialist III

The Contract Specialist III is a strategic role responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of Information Technology software contracts. This position oversees the solicitation, negotiation, and post-award administration of complex agreements, ensuring that all procurement activities align with organizational standards and legal requirements. The successful candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert in IT software procurement, driving value through meticulous risk mitigation, cost-of-ownership reduction, and high-level stakeholder engagement. Core Responsibilities Execute the negotiation and formalization of diverse IT software agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Proof of Concepts (POCs). Manage the full solicitation process by conducting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) through the organization’s approved strategic sourcing platforms. Liaise with Legal counsel and internal clause owners to ensure all contractual terms remain compliant with corporate governance and statutory regulations. Administer post-execution contract activities, including invoice resolution, document retention, and support for periodic internal and external audits. Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and the streamlining of contracting workflows. Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage assigned portfolios effectively, prioritizing high-touch engagement and the alignment of procurement strategies with business objectives. Mitigate commercial and legal risks while optimizing the total cost of ownership to enhance organizational value without compromising quality. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience specializing in the negotiation of IT software contracts and complex licensing agreements. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in drafting and executing MSAs, SOWs, and NDAs within a corporate environment. Preferred Qualifications Industry Experience: Previous procurement experience within the energy or oil and gas sector. Systems Expertise: Proficiency in SAP and Icertis Contract Intelligence (ICI) platforms. Domain Knowledge: Advanced understanding of IT software buying channels, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Value-Added Resellers (VARs). Communication: Distinguished analytical, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to influence critical executive decisions. Location: On-site at the firm's offices in Bartlesville, OK, or Houston, TX. Work Arrangement: This is an on-site position. A hybrid schedule (one day per week remote) may be considered following the successful completion of the initial training period.
