This position requires strong technical estimating skills, the ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and experience supporting projects from preconstruction through change management.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform quantity takeoffs and material takeoffs from construction drawings and specificationsReview project documents and develop detailed cost estimatesAnalyze scope changes and prepare pricing for change ordersProvide labor-hour and cost information to engineering, planning, and scheduling teamsSupport project change management from initiation through completionEvaluate project risks and opportunities during bid preparationAssist with purchasing and project tracking initiatives after awardDeliver accurate estimates while working within aggressive bid schedulesEnsure compliance with company procedures and estimating standardsRequired QualificationsMinimum 3-5 years of electrical estimating experience, with 5+ years preferredAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience with estimating software requiredProficiency with Microsoft Excel and WordStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentSelf-starter with strong communication and teamwork abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience using McCormick estimating softwareCandidates with Accubid or similar estimating platforms will also be consideredIndustrial construction experience in: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, Midstream, Energy InfrastructureField electrical construction experienceRenewable energy or data center project experience is a major plusWork Environmentxhyhwjd Office-based position located in Kenner, LATypical schedule: 40-50 hours per weekMonday-Friday, generally 8:00 AM-5:00 PMFlexible start/end times with approximately 30 minutes of scheduling flexibilityTravel is minimal and typically limited to 1-2 trips per yearCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $90,000 - $135,000+ (depending on experience)Annual Performance BonusBenefits Include:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Health Savings Account (HSA)401(k) with Company MatchComprehensive Benefits PackageAdditional InformationBackground Check RequiredDrug Screen RequiredImmediate Hiring NeedTwo openings availableIf you're interested in joining a highly respected industrial electrical contractor with a strong project pipeline and long-term career growth potential, we'd love to hear from you.
