Position Overview

A rapidly growing robotics and advanced manufacturing company is seeking a Global Supply Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, supplier development, and commercial negotiations for complex, custom-engineered products and assemblies.

This role will own key supplier relationships from initial sourcing and RFQ through prototype, NPI, production ramp, and ongoing production. The Global Supply Manager will work closely with engineering, operations, production, quality, and finance while serving as the primary internal point of contact for key suppliers.

What You’ll Do

• Lead direct sourcing and supplier management across key commodities and product categories.
• Source custom electromechanical assemblies, electronics, PCBAs, automation components, and other engineered products.
• Identify, qualify, develop, and manage domestic and global suppliers.
• Lead RFQs, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, should-cost analysis, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Negotiate pricing, MSAs, SOWs, and supplier agreements.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while communicating supplier capabilities, constraints, risks, and opportunities internally.
• Manage suppliers through prototype, NPI, product launch, production ramp, and ongoing production.
• Partner directly with engineering on DFM, supplier selection, component selection, and supplier manufacturing processes.
• Manage supplier quality, capacity, delivery, lead times, cost, and escalations.
• Develop dual-source and multi-source strategies to reduce supply chain risk.
• Support make-vs-buy decisions, logistics, tariffs, Incoterms, and compliance.

Must Have

• Must Have: 5+ years of hands-on strategic sourcing, direct sourcing, commodity management, procurement, or global supply management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Must Have: Strong external-facing supplier relationship and vendor management experience.
• Must Have: Hands-on experience leading RFQs, supplier selection, cost negotiations, pricing, contracts, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Must Have: Experience sourcing engineered components, custom products, assemblies, electronics, or electromechanical products.
• Experience managing suppliers through prototype, NPI, launch, and production ramp.
• Experience partnering directly with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Strong understanding of supplier quality, capacity, delivery, cost, and manufacturing processes.

Highly Preferred

• Highly Preferred: Experience sourcing custom or build-to-print products and assemblies rather than primarily off-the-shelf components or raw materials.
• Highly Preferred: Experience sourcing electronics, PCBAs, electronic assemblies, or complex electromechanical assemblies.
• Highly Preferred: Background within robotics, consumer electronics, automotive, industrial automation, aerospace, or other complex engineered-product environments.
• Experience sourcing across multiple commodities, technologies, or manufacturing processes.
• Experience working directly with engineering teams on DFM, NPI, supplier selection, and supplier manufacturing capabilities.
• Knowledge of global logistics, tariffs, Incoterms, and international supply chains.
• ERP experience; NetSuite is a plus.
