Description

• Conduct assessments for diverse age groups including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using various evaluative measures and observational strategies.
• Create tailored treatment strategies addressing immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
• Deliver focused speech therapy that enhances communication, language processing, fluency, and swallowing abilities on a one-on-one basis.
• Engage in collaboration with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and relatives to construct comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to ensure continuous progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Support inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions when necessary, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
• Keep meticulous and timely records in accordance with state, federal, and institutional requirements.
• Commit to continuous professional development, staying abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is essential if the applicant is not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
