- Conduct assessments for diverse age groups including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using various evaluative measures and observational strategies.
- Create tailored treatment strategies addressing immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
- Deliver focused speech therapy that enhances communication, language processing, fluency, and swallowing abilities on a one-on-one basis.
- Engage in collaboration with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and relatives to construct comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and their families to ensure continuous progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Support inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions when necessary, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
- Keep meticulous and timely records in accordance with state, federal, and institutional requirements.
- Commit to continuous professional development, staying abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is essential if the applicant is not yet ASHA-certified.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all ages, along with a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Versatile in adjusting therapeutic techniques to accommodate varying cultural and linguistic requirements.
